You should install websites as a shortcuts or PWAs
Turn any website into a desktop app (kinda)
If you use a website frequently, you should consider installing it as a Chrome shortcut, which makes it behave similar to a desktop app. The benefit is that you get to still use your Chrome extensions on the app, and avoid much of the bloat that most standalone Electron apps have.
Follow this guide for Google Chrome to install a website as a shortcut or possibly a progressive web app, PWA, on your machine. Doing so allows you to open the website as an app from search, Spotlight, Alfred, Raycast, etc.
This enables you to create shortcuts that jump directly to the application rather than opening Chrome first and then opening the tab. It’s a lot faster and a great way to quickly access websites that you really need. See also It’s way faster to jump to a new window than Alt-Tab to your browser and search your tabs.
