Counter-Strike 2 is coming and I'm hyped
The FPS of my childhood gets a facelift
When people think about the evolution of gaming, they might not immediately consider the impact of the latest updates in popular franchises. However, I recently saw the trailers for Counter-Strike 2, and I am absolutely hyped. It looks so good!
The game’s developers have made some significant improvements, including solving the tick rate problem with subtick updates, overhauling maps with Source 2, and introducing better smoke physics.
Subtick Updates: A Game-Changer
The tick rate problem, which refers to the frequency at which a game server updates its game state, has long plagued the gaming community. However, the introduction of subtick updates seems to have solved this issue, paving the way for a more fluid and responsive gaming experience.
Maps Overhauled with Source 2
Another noteworthy update is the overhaul of maps using Source 2. This enhancement breathes new life into the game’s maps, offering players an immersive experience with better graphics, improved lighting, and increased detail.
Better Smoke Physics
The introduction of better smoke physics creates a more immersive and authentic gaming experience, making strategic use of smoke grenades even more critical in gameplay.
