100 Plus Is Syok
A Malaysian sports drink comes with a word that sounds a little like shock.
Fun fact: In Malaysia, people often drink 100 Plus, a slightly fizzy isotonic drink, after exercising. Then they might say syok—roughly “so satisfying”—which sounds a little like “shock.”
I remember first encountering 100 Plus after playing badminton with a friend. Back at his house, he pulled one out of the fridge and said, “Syok.”
